A demo account lets you test the platform and your strategy with virtual funds, at no risk. It is the right place to get comfortable with MetaTrader 5 before committing real capital.
Opening one
Open a risk-free demo account at caveofx.com/demo-accounts.
How long it lasts
A demo account is valid for 30 days. Once it expires you can simply open a new one.
What to practise
- Placing market and pending orders
- Setting stop-loss and take-profit levels
- Reading margin, free margin and margin level in the Toolbox
- Sizing positions with the contract calculator
- Running an Expert Advisor before you use it live
What a demo cannot show you
Demo trading uses live prices, but it cannot reproduce the psychology of risking your own money, and fills may differ from a live account under fast markets. Treat consistent demo results as a starting point, not a guarantee.
